Problems with mental health can affect anyone at any point in their lives. They can be young or older, heart healthy or living with half a working heart. No one chooses to have mental health problems, so just like your physical health it is not something you need to feel embarrassed about.
What is mental health?
Mental health is a big term for lots of things including how happy you feel, how much you believe in yourself, how you feel about your future, how you are able to talk to and be around other people and how you are able to face challenges.
You might find that these kinds of feelings can change and you’re okay for a long time but have a day every now and again where you’re a little more low. This is totally normal. If you find that you start to feel low more often or how you feel negatively affects your day it might be a good idea to talk to someone.
