We’re here for you.
Here are just some of the ways we can help (click the headers to read more)
Families seeking support and information can contact our seven-day-a-week Support Line. In addition to the expertise and care provided by our office team, outside of office hours the line is managed by parent volunteers who are able to share their own experiences and offer a listening ear.
LHM produces an ever-expanding range of information packs which include valuable information on such areas as antenatal, feeding, education, hospital and coping with operations.
Our Regional Support Team enables families to link up with other local families so they can support each other and share ideas.
Our Youth Zone offers dedicated support and information to young people aged 11-18 as well as young adults over 18. We hold regional events so these members can meet other people with the same condition as themselves and we produce a quarterly newsletter packed with tailored lifestyle information.
Our hugely popular Open Days and Regional Events allow parents and children to explore medical and lifestyle issues, seek support and friendship from their peers and gain a greater understanding of the work of the charity.
Our support never ends and we continue to be there for our families at the time of bereavement. We link bereaved families with parents who have experienced their own loss and who are able to offer their support by telephone and email.
Our main Facebook page provides a range of information, advice and family stories. We also have a closed Facebook group for full members only, giving them an opportunity to chat in a safe and secure environment.
