Meet our youth members

12-14 year olds ‘Juniors’

Youth Members aged 12-14 years make up our LHM Juniors. You’ll get invited to LHM Junior workshops, activity days and weekends, our annual Open Day and any of the other exciting events we hold! LHM Juniors will receive ”Big Hearts Matter” our youth newsletter that has articles about life with half a heart, more stories and information on the heart as well as info on up and coming events. All LHM Juniors will be able to join our Chat Forum where you can join in with the different topic streams – talking to other youth members about day to day life with half a working heart. LHM Youth Members aged 13+ will also get the chance to join our private Facebook ands Instagram group where you can chat to others and share your stories. You will also be able to work with Lexie our LHM Youth Leader. Lexie works with lots of our youth members to help them understand life with half a working heart. You can speak to her via our social media or text support.

15-17 year olds ‘Seniors’

Youth Members aged 15-17 years make up our LHM Seniors. You’ll get invited to LHM Senior workshops, activity days and weekends, our annual Open Day and any of the other exciting events we hold! LHM Seniors will receive ”Big Hearts Matter” our youth newsletter that has articles about life with half a heart, more stories and information on the heart as well as info on up and coming events. All LHM Seniors will be able to join our Chat Forum where you can join in with the different topic streams – talking to other youth members about day to day life with half a working heart. LHM Seniors can join our private Facebook and Instagram group where you can chat to others and share your stories as well as join our virtual youth group. You will also be able to work with Lexie our LHM Youth Leader. Lexie work with lots of our youth members to help them understand life with half a working heart. You can speak to her via our social media or text support. Our LHM seniors will also get to meet and work with our adult service lead Lorna to get ready for that transition to all things grown up.

Super Siblings

The Youth Zone isn’t just for young people with half a heart – their brothers and sisters are part of it too! Siblings are invited to all our youth events for their age group so that they can meet other brothers and sisters like them, because we know that it can sometimes be hard when you’ve got a sibling with half a heart. Our siblings are invited to join from aged 12.
