LHM Youth Lifestyle Information – Screen Time

We know that a lot of your social life lives on your phone. Between snapchat, Tiktok, WhatsApp and the LHM youth hub you will spend a lot of time staring on a screen. It is important to manage your screen time, adults don’t just say this to bug you we promise.

Did you know that too much screen time can;

  • Create anxiety and stress
  • Affect your sleeping patterns
  • Raise the likelihood of online abuse
  • Cause digital eye strain

How can I manage my screen time?

Managing your screen time might seem like a task you don’t want to do, but it can really help.

You could;

  • Set yourself daily time limits for the screen
  • Schedule a walk outside in the fresh air without your phone each day
  • Put your phone on ‘do not disturb’ after 9pm
  • Get a timed phone safe to lock it away after a certain time.

You might feel some FOMO without your screen, but it’s so much better to takes breaks for your physical and mental health.
