‘Mental Health and Me’ Workshop
Please join me, and our guest speaker Pauline Aiston (Specialist Health Psychologist), on Monday 18th August at 6pm-7pm for the ‘Mental Health and Me’ workshop.
Providing a safe space for discussion, Pauline will be giving information, for educational purposes by focusing on a wide range of topics. Some may have the potential to cause distress especially if you or someone you know have had a personal experience – you are free to leave the session if it feels too heavy at any time. Please let me know if you need support. These topics may include depression, PTSD, trauma, phobias, body dysmorphia, scaring.
The aim of this workshop is to support the needs of the SVH adults, empowering you to talk about how you feel and the confidence to seek help when navigating mental health and wellbeing as an adult with a single ventricle heart.
The workshop will be recorded. If you have something confidential you would like to speak to Pauline or myself about away from the workshop, please email me a few lines about what you wish to discuss and I will respond to you in an email. If you have questions in the workshop, please type them into the chat box and we will try our best to get through them.
A final reminder that anything shared confidentially by your peers within the workshop, should be met with a supportive and respectful ear.
See you there,
Sharna (sharna@lhm.org.uk)
