Sharing your family's story can be a powerful and positive experience that helps 5 other families feel less alone and raises awareness of single ventricle heart conditions and the work of Little Hearts Matter.
However, we recognise that discussing your experiences may involve revisiting difficult memories and emotions. Depending on your circumstances, you may be asked to talk about:
Some participants may find these conversations upsetting, emotional or triggering, particularly if the events are recent or if they are still navigating aspects of their journey.
Before agreeing to participate, please consider whether:
Participation is entirely voluntary. You may pause, take a break, decline to answer any question or stop the interview at any time without explanation.
If you are currently experiencing significant emotional distress or feel that revisiting your experiences may negatively affect your wellbeing, you may wish to consider whether now is the right time to participate.
Little Hearts Matter is committed to ensuring participants feel safe and respected throughout the storytelling process.
If at any point during filming or interviewing you become uncomfortable, distressed or no longer wish to continue, please inform the interviewer and the session will be paused or stopped.
Taking part is entirely voluntary and you are under no obligation to answer any question you would prefer not to discuss.
