What is a Parent Volunteer?

A parent member willing to link with other parent members via phone/email/text/social media. These volunteers will offer peer support to help rid the feeling of isolation on the half a heart journey. They will be able to offer parent to parent insight into life with single ventricle heart disease and offer a listening ear in times of worry and stress. They will signpost to other support or information services and report back to the LHM service team.

Reassuring and supportive
Experience of parenting a child with single ventricle heart condition
Dedicated and dependable
Clean enhanced DBS
