Reader panel

Can you help us to keep informing young people and families about life with half a working heart?

We need you to help us to maintain and develop our medical and lifestyle information by volunteering to become a reviewer on our Youth Reader Panel. It would only take a few hours a year and you can do it from home in your PJ’s (although we would also hope to get together once a year to discuss any issues, share ideas and put faces to names).

We are looking for lots of young people with different backgrounds and experiences and no previous knowledge is required. We’ll send you our information booklets before they are sent off to be published and will ask for your feedback on the content, tone, layout, and structure of the publications.

Your help would really help LHM continue supporting young people and their families through every step of their half a heart journey.

If you are interested please contact us or call 0121 455 8982 to have a quick chat with Deb, LHM’s Design and Information Administrator.

"Elijah unfortunately couldn't take part in surfing with Beavers on Sunday due to the company not being insured for a person with a heart condition. So, daddy took him to the nearest beach shop and got him a body board, he had a brilliant morning despite being upset initially. It was an eye opener for us, seeking clarification what business insurances cover with certain activities. We hope other families can take something from this x"A huge thank you to heart-mum Michelle for sharing this with us. ... See MoreSee Less
