We are delighted to have joined with charities across the UK to be taking part in the 2.6 challenge; a national campaign to save the UK’s charities and give you a chance to support the charity that you love!
Coronavirus has had a huge impact on our ability to fundraise, with events such as the London Marathon being cancelled. However, our support doesn’t stop and we still need to be there for families on every step of their half a heart journey – now more than ever.
The 2.6 Challenge is launching on the 26th April, the day that the London Marathon should have been taking place. It’s super simple to get involved, and anyone can take part! All you need to do is:
- Think of a challenge themed around 2.6 or 26 (could you run 2.6 miles, do 26 laps of a circuit in your garden, host a virtual competition with a £2.60 entry fee?)
- Create your fundraising page here https://twopointsixchallenge.justgiving.com/get-involved?charityId=182810
- Complete your challenge on or from the 26th April
- Nominate someone else to do the same!
If you’d rather not fundraise but still want to help, you can also make a donation here https://twopointsixchallenge.justgiving.com/get-involved?charityId=182810 which would also be hugely appreciated. £26 could fund 48 hours of our support line for families.
By supporting Little Hearts Matter through the 2.6 challenge, you’ll directly impact individual families. Never before has the support, information and care provided by Little Hearts Matter been so urgently needed by the children, teenagers and adults living with only half a working heart. Every day they face the challenges created by their disability. Coronavirus has just added to their isolation, fear, lack of understanding. You can help be there for them.
