Friday 4th June was a remarkable day for so many reasons; the sun shone brightly all day over Birmingham, over 60 people donned their football boots, and lots of money was raised for Little Hearts Matter. A HUGE thank you to all the players and their supporters.

All teams played exceptionally well and it was great to see that each team seriously wanted to win the cup. We only had one injury which unfortunately left
Switzerland one man down at a critical time in the tournament. Well, I say one injury, there were actually two as I managed to bang my leg on a chair! .. I’m ok though!
Ivory Coast won the cup with stiff competition from England, Spain and Switzerland.
We hope to raise £1500 from the day, with all costs for the event kindly being paid for by UKBPS. This money will help us to keep families informed on the condition their children have and the options available to them, along with the helpline that becomes a lifeline to so many parents who are frightened, confused, lonely and not knowing who to turn to for support.

Please do send in any photos you have, and any outstanding sponsorship money. You can email your photos to
shelagh@lhm.org.uk.
Enjoy Saturday’s game and fingers crossed for England!
