The Little Hearts Matter Support Line
The support line is manned out of hours by parents who are able to share their own experiences and offer a listening ear. They can be contacted on the office line 0121 455 8982 from 4.30 pm – 10 pm Mon-Fri and at weekends.
Anne Marie Hennessy is a member of the LHM telephone support service team. She lives in London with her two children, Lili aged 8 and John aged 7.
John has HLHS and has had all three stages of the Norwood procedure. He suffered a stroke as a baby and has mild hemi-plegia and visual impairment but despite a tricky start, is doing very well now, at mainstream school and even on the Gifted and Talented programme there. He loves singing, football and going to Boy Scouts.
Anne Marie works in Childrens Service's for the local authority and is happy to talk to families via the LHM helpline whenever possible.
Clare Goodenough is a member of the support team. Clare and her husband Dave have two children Will aged 14 with HLHS and Mary aged 10.
The family are regular attendees of LHM functions in an effort to encourage and support other families.
Will has spoken for the charity on a number of occasions at awareness events including the House of Commons and Lords.
Lynn O’Neill is a member of the support team and a youth worker with the local authority, working mainly with young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award.
She lives at home in Manchester with her four boys. Connor, her eldest, now 13 years old, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Connor has since had a heart transplant in 1997, and is now doing great, and becoming a teenager!!

Nicky Haselgrove is a member of the support line team and is area representative for Kent and Sussex.
She and her husband Steve have three teenagers! It is Sarah the middle one that has HLHS and after 18 operations she is certainly one tough cookie!
