Ian Flavell
My name is Ian Flavell, I am married to Claire and we live outside Leamington Spa with our four children. Matthew our eldest was born in 1999 with Hypoplastic Left Heart. Matthew had his Fontan procedure in 2005 and has done very well since and is due to start secondary school in September. In 2006 our fourth child, Sophie, was born with transposition of the great arteries and received an arterial switch soon after birth. We struggle to keep up with her now!
I am a Podiatry undergraduate in Birmingham and thoroughly enjoying the academic life. Prior to this I had a long and fulfilling career as a Business Manager in the automotive industry with brands such as Jaguar and Volvo, which involved budgeting, planning and ensuring FSA compliance for the business whilst delivering levels of customer service expected of such prestige brands.
Outside of family and studying my passions are reading, motorsport and my beloved Manchester United (and before anyone asks - I've been a fan since 1972 so I'm not a glory hunter - and no I've never lived in Manchester).
