Fundraising - The Reason Why

On a daily basis the need for the help and support provided by Little Hearts Matter to members all over the United Kingdom is highlighted to us all in telephone calls and messages to the website. We are constantly reminded that that need is an ongoing necessity. Below are extracts from messages sent to our website...

Our Amazing Little Girl

Our Little Girls life span is expected to be short and surgery is on-going. Our other children love her to bits and it has been hard explaining to them what is happening as we take it one step at a time and make sure whatever length of life she has it will be a happy one and very well loved. Just to see her now walking and trying to talk is amazing. She really is our amazing Little Girl.

Daniel's Story

We went to London to have Daniel and at 3 days old he had his first operation. It was the scariest 6 hours of our lives but when we saw our son lying there alive, it was worth every minute.

A Special Heart

Our special boy was born in early 2002, at our local hospital in Scotland. He was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome at my 19 week scan. That’s when we found Little Hearts Matter.

Tears for Souvenirs

Our little girl was born in the summer of 2001 close to our home in Scotland and was flown to Birmingham Children's Hospital the next day, where she underwent first stage Norwood surgery for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Following 2 further operations she is now at school and loving it. She is a very happy little girl who enjoys a good quality of life and is looking forward to going abroad for the first time in her life this summer.
