Parent Support

One of the most important services that Little Hearts Matter offers is support for anyone affected by single ventricle heart disease.

We try to help families in many different ways: -

The Office Team offer answers to medical, treatment and lifestyle issues. They will also find families parent-to-parent support contacts.
They can be reached on 0121 455 8982 within office hours, Mon - Fri 9.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
 
The Little Hearts Matter Support Line is manned out of office hours by parents who are able to share their own experiences and offer a listening ear.
They can be contacted via the Little Hearts Matter office line 0121 455 8982 (Mon - Fri, 4.30 - 10.00 p.m and weekends).
 
Antenatal Information and Support services can be accessed through the Little Hearts Matter office line on 0121 455 8982.
The antenatal team offers information on diagnosis and treatments and their own personal experience of coping with antenatal decision-making.
 
Bereavement Support - another key service that the charity provides is support at the time of a bereavement. Parents who have experienced their own loss offer their support by telephone or via email. Contact can be made through the Little Hearts Matter office on 0121 455 8982.
 
The Regional Support Team is made up of parents who provide local support and information. New Little Hearts Matter members will have an automatic referral to their local network parent.
 
Little Hearts Matter also offers information and support when transplantation is the next treatment option. Lynn O'Neill is able to introduce families to GIFT - The Children's Transplant Charity (formely Heart Transplant Families Together) and can be reached on 0161 749 8949.
 
The Youth Service Team are there to provide support to the LHM young people, aged 10-17. They can be contacted through the office on 0121 455 8982. There is also a special website called the Zipper Zone.
