On Friday 5th October 2012, two of the world's most famous crime fiction writers appeared in a special ‘Conversation With' fundraising event to support the work of Little Hearts Matter.

 

In what was a magnificent and unforgetable evening, Ruth Rendell and P.D. James gave a personal insight into their writing, talked about how they researched their stories and how their characters are portrayed on film and TV. They then answered questions from the audience.

 

One of our young members Charlie Turner, who has HLHS, presented the authors with flowers at the end of their performance. They then spent time signing books and chatting to guests during a champagne reception.

 

We would like to say a huge thanks to Lady James and Lady Rendell for donating their time for free to help raise funds and awareness for Little Hearts Matter. We would also like to thank the Central School of Speech & Drama for hosting their event and being so helpful on the evening, and to Gaucho Bar & Grill and The London Cocktail Club for donating prizes to our raffle.
