Open Day 2010

This year's Open Day will be held at the Bretby Conference Centre in Burton On Trent on Saturday 13th March.

The day starts at 9am for registration and coffee, followed by education workshops. At 11.15 it will be the AGM and a presentation by the Youth Council, followed by a talk on Safe and Sustainable Services by Jeremy Glyde.

After lunch there will workshops and talks on pacemakers, careers, DLA and looking after a baby with congenital heart problems. Speakers include Dr De Giovanni from Birmingham Children's Hospital, a team from Connexions and a speaker from the Department of Work and Pensions.

The day will finish with drinks and a chat between 4 and 4.30pm. Members are then welcome to either stay for an informal social dinner in the evening at 5.30pm or head home. Please confirm in advance if you will be staying for dinner in the evening.
